Minex Urals 2008, 25 November 2008, Yekaterinburg
by admin ~ October 20th, 2008Regional mining and exploration conference Minex-Ural 2008 took place in November 25 in Ekaterinburg.
Minex (Mining and Exploration) Forum is held for 4 years and it is one of the most significant and largest business-forums that are held on the territory of the former USSR. The conferences are organized by the international noncommercial partnership of SRK, NBLgold and Advantix companies.
Minex-Ural 2008 was supported by the Ministry of Natural Resources of Sverdlovsk region and was devoted to the problems of stimulation and development of mining and geological projects in Russia.
The companies operating in the mining sector presented their reports during the conference. Among them are the regulating authorities of the region, mining and processing companies, equipment suppliers, educational institutions, consultants and engineering companies.
The main and most topical issues were disclosed in the following reports:
- Goldmining industry of Sverdlovsk region (Korolev E., Ministry of Natural Resources)
- Current conditions of resource base of the Ural Federal District and opportunities of its development (Novikov I., Geology and Licensing Department of Sverdlovsk region)
- Ecological and technical safety on mining plants (Kravchenko A., Russian Technical Supervisory Authority )
- Remaining prognostic resources of traditional and perspective mining areas in the Ural region (Tsyganov V., “Aerogeologiya”)
- Gold mineral base reproduction experience (Eganov V., Ural Mining company)
- Development of the iron ore project (Bacharach J., IMC Montan)
- Solving problems with debt financing in the time of crisis (Sharaev A., Finematika), and many others.
- The representatives of many Russian and foreign mining and exploration, investment and service companies took part in the conference, e.g. Polymetal, Eurasia Mining, IMC Montan, Alex Stewart, Ancor Metal&Mining, SRK Consulting, Unipromed-Engineering, KWH Pipe,
St. Petersburg mining and engineering company, Ural mining company, exploring-and-producing company Berezovskoe, Bateman Intertech, Ural Copper, VVS-Engineering, Geotechproekt, Bazhenovskaya geophysical company, Ural mining company, mining group Berezovskoe, Bashkirgeology and many others.
All the participants pointed out topical selection of reports at all the sessions. Most speeches provoked animated discussion among the conference participants. Therefore, conference Minex Ural 2008 opened up opportunities to discuss topical issues concerned with effective reproduction of the resource base in Russia.
